ANNEXM - Megaron The Athens Concert Hall
Influenced by the modernist movement, the piece 19735 Days originates fromresearch into the archive of the exhibition the Panathenaea of World Sculpture(1965) held on the Hill of Muses in Athens.
By calculating the days elapsed since1965 and drawing upon images from the files of the exhibition, I center my focus on the architectural structures designed by Yorgos Kandylis. These structuresconsisted of fabric attached to pillars, serving as backdrops for sculptures andshades against the sun. With minimal documentation about their constructionbeyond photographs and drawings, I reimagine this element, removing itsfunctional aspect to emphasize its symbolic significance and role as a poignant memento.
